Font History Poster Series

In this poster series I was tasked with researching 3 historic fonts from different periods. First I designed a poster using the font Interstate by Tobias Frere-Jones. This poster is meant to reflect the highway signage that the digital typeface is based on. Next I designed a poster using Frederic Goudy's Goudy Oldstyle. This typeface is a book font so I took inspiration from Goudy's many books he wrote in his lifetime. Last I designed a poster using the font Antique Extended by Edwin Allen. This posters design was based off of the many wood type posters of the 1800s
